Your advisor in the establishing process
The first decision to be made is how to organize the business and register the company in Norway. Foreign companies with only a short-term engagement in Norway, normally only register the entity in the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities – and in the VAT-Register if the activities involve VAT-liable sales.
When planning for a long-term engagement, the foreign company must also register in the Register of Business Enterprises. The Register unit in Brønnøysund are using the same criteria as the Register of Company Accounts; – meaning when a company have the obligation to report an annual account, there is also an obligation to register in the Register of Business Enterprises.
It must of course also be decided if a Norwegian branch or a Norwegian legal entity ltd/AS) is preferred.
Azets assists in deciding and registration of the Norwegian entity in the Register unit.
